I have been the Manager at the Hanging Gate for over 16 years and I loved it so much I bought the company! Who couldn’t love it? It’s a gorgeous pub in a beautiful location, I have a fantastic team and every day I realise how lucky I am to be pursuing my dreams!

Manageress-Samantha Carr
Sammy has been with us for over three years now and has recently been promoted to Manageress. She does a fantastic job and without her I would be lost. Sammy is my backbone and my best friend.

Head Chef-Stuart Walker
This is Stuart's second spell with us, he's been here over a year. Stuart was with us as a chef in his younger days, but went off to broaden his horizons. Happily for us he's back as our Head Chef. He is a great chef and his sense of humour can get us through even the most stressful of shifts!

Grill Chef-Stuart Wood
Stuart started his career here as a pot washer and five years later he has just gained his NVQ level 2 and 3 in Hospitality and Catering. Stu is now one of our main chef's, he has great creativity and flare. He even doubles as our resident D.J!

Assistant Manageress-Danielle Shore
Danni has been with us for five years now and is currently working as our Assistant Manageress. She has excelled in every department, and is a great asset to the team.

Lisa Pearson
Lisa is one of our best all rounders. Having been employed with us for 5 years, she is as flexible as can be, enabling her to ‘jump in’ on any department as and when needs must and often needs do indeed must!

Keely Oldham
Keely has been with us for five years and her lovely nature and people skills make her a hit with all our diners. Keely is currently excelling in her ‘meet and greet’ role and takes great pride in every aspect of her job.

Tracy Buxton
Tracy is one of our most loyal and long serving member of staff, she has been with us for eight years now.  She is excellent on bar and front of house. Tracy also co-ordinates the childrens activities and our colouring competition.

Jessica Bastock
Jess has been at the Hanging Gate for a year now. She is currently being trained in our sweets and starters department as well as making great progress on the bar and front of house.

Jenny Jackson
Jenny has been with us for three years although she is still a student, Jenny excels in our sweets and starters department, preparing heavenly desserts for your enjoyment.

Jemma Storie
Jemma has been with us for over a year now as part of our waiting on team.She is a very popular, bubbly girl who is always very keen to learn new skills,and is undertaking each task with enthusiasm.

Elyse Thomas
Elyse is our most gorgeous girl! She is 11 years old and has the vital role at the Hanging Gate as our colouring competition co-ordinator. She also helps Daddy in the office.
