The Hanging Gate is situated in the lush heart of the High Peak in Chapel-en-le-Frith. We are surrounded by gorgeous green hills, in a dramatic landscape as far as the eye can see. We consider ourselves most fortunate to be in a fantastic position overlooking the picturesque Combs reservoir.

It is our endeavour to serve hearty, home cooked food, sourced locally where achievable, alongside a good selection of wines selected from around the world.

We serve Theakstones real ale. We also have draught ciders, mild, bitter, stouts and lagers including our popular draught Budweiser in frozen tankards.

We are open all day everyday serving satisfying breakfasts from 10.00am -11.30am.

Our extensive Bar/Restaurant menu is available from 11.30am - 9.30pm.

We also offer our very popular Senior Citizens and Lunchtime & Early Evening menus, available Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays) 11.30am -7.00pm and Saturdays 11.30am - 5.00pm.

Why not try our delicious Cream and Afternoon Teas served from 3.00pm - 6.00pm Monday-Friday.

We also serve fresh, bean to cup coffees, a selection of teas and hot chocolate.
